Not before Breakfast

"It takes some skill to spoil a breakfast - even the English can't do it!"
(John Kenneth Galbraith, American economist.)

This morning we were struggling with the BBC News. Some blamed the accents, some put it down to the lack of volume, others  to the sunlight streaming in through the uncurtained and unshuttered windows, whilst others thought it might have had something to do with the speed with which the speakers spoke. As for me, I think breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Comments more than welcome.

Do I detect a hint of irony in your post? Were you not fed well when amongst the natives?
