Spanish politicians got off to an early start this year when a new law on smoking, or rather no smoking, came into effect on 2nd January. There have been mixed reactions but it's early days yet to gauge the effect or impact on the catering industry. (Be patient as the video takes a while to load and there is the inevitable preliminary ad!)

Wow, I really liked the comments that foreigners have been leaving in this post for the last days- They're quite interesting and give an international perspective on what we considered just as a Spanish trauma- Not me, though! :)
For sure, things will eventually come to an adjustment sooner or later, and the sooner, the better.

I think this is the first time I listen to an audio in English when speakers are Spanish...and it's so strange....Although the language is clear and understandable, I felt like telling the translator: "Silent, please! I prefer to listen to in original version....jaja"
Nina, thanks a lot. Now, the page is clearer, nicer, brighter, and, as you know, I prefer white than black.
I forgot to say that my resolution is: "try to write every week on your blog" and now it,s easier.
With respect to link, for me to quit smoking has been easy. I used to smoke at weekends in bars and drinking something. My friends and I have already stopped smoking since then. Heartfelt thanks for this new law.
I totally agree, Cristina; Marta, don't forget we are here for your English!; Mª Jose, I'm glad you like it - the aim is to please. (Will you be able to keep up your New Year resolution?); and Gracia, good for you!
Giving up smoking? Ask my brother, John. :) John started smoking when he was twenty years old, coz of peer pressure, I must say.
Lately, I noticed that he no longer smoke using imported cigars. However, he uses forced air vaporizers. I think he bought the product online. Now, I'm on research about forced air vaporizer. Thanks for sharing!
Nicotine patches are great. Stick one over each eye and you can't find your cigarettes. (Author unknown)
