'There's no system to anything ... The books are crammed any old how; the work on the walls is out of date. Jacob says she's forever losing stuff. And yet everyone thinks she's this wonderful, five-star teacher. And she's not. But she has this way with people and they all believe her.'
For our eleventh book of the year I recommend A Spoonful of Murder by J M Hall. Initially reluctant, the protagonists of this story, former teachers, will eventually unravel the mystery of Topsy's death and uncover a plot targeting the elderly to cheat them of their life's savings. Retired teachers sleuthing - now there's an idea! Here is the worksheet.
Meetup: Friday, 28th November 5pm
